Its the 4th year of the infamous Swim Across the Bay competition where swim teams (mostly PASA members) team up in groups of 5 and swim from one end to the another of Sarangani Bay. This is the most challenging and one of the most physically demanding swim in this part of Mindanao.
This year's competition will be filled with lots of excitement as teams from different parts of the country will be joining this event. As of this time, teams from Boracay, General Santos, Davao, Sarangani and Cagayan de Oro have confirmed their commitment to join. The team composed of 5 swimmers, and each member must swim no less than 3 minutes before another team mate can take the turn in the relay.
Last year's winning team, Sta. Cruz swim team of Davao City made a record of 3 hrs. 37 mins. Winners this year of the Swim Across the Bay competition will have the following prizes at stake:
1st Prize - P50,000
2nd Prize - P30,000
3rd Prize - P20,000
Consolation - P5,000
