SUMMER -OH- SUMMER!

Posted by: wwwgosa in Untagged  on

Here is the  Top 10 List of Summer Destinations recommended by Go Sarangani Travel...

1. Gumasa Beach - White sand beaches are such a hit.  If you are in Mindanao, we suggest you visit Gumasa Beach in Glan, Sarangani.  It is a 45 minute drive from General Santos City.  To get your bookings ahead of time (and be hassle free), you can contact Go Sarangani Travel at (083) 5528015 or email your request to gosaranganitravel@gmail.com

2. Lemlunay Dive Resort - If you want to try diving this summer, you can get your lessons and license at Lemlunay Dive Resort.  This sprawling 3 hectare property has an infinity swimming pool and is right in front of marine protected reef in Maasim, Sarangani.  The drive is about 30 minutes from General Santos city.  If you wish to stay overnight and book rooms, you can do so with Go Sarangani Travel at gosaranganitravel@gmail.com

3. Lake Sebu - If you are more of a mountain person, we would book for you a tour to Lake Sebu.  It is about 2 1/2 drive from General Santos city on a private vehicle.  You will pass thru the picturesque drive seeing Mt. Matutum (2nd highest in Mindanao) and the pineapple plantation of DOLE. You need to discover the Tboli culture, eat the tilapia grown in the Lake, and take the Lake tour. For those who have a heart of adventure, try their zipline ride over the 7 Falls.  Its really the most beautiful zipline in the country. If you wish to travel as a group, contact Go Sarangani Travel to help you prepare an entire tour.

4. Samal Island - Samal is the Island Garden of Davao.  Right across Davao city, you can take your own vehicle and bring it on the roll-on roll-off barge. Or you can book a day trip or overnight trip with Pearl Farm.   There are alot of resorts in Samal that you can stay in.  Also there is more to discover with the bat cave and their waterfalls. You can book your Samal tours with Go Sarangani Travel by emailing gosaranganitravel1@gmail.com

5. Boracay - Boracay will be easier to reach especially thru the help of Air Phil Express.  There will be 3X/week from General Santos to Iloilo starting March 23. This will take you to get around Iloilo and take the Heritage tours.  Then proceed to the world's top 6 beach -- Boracay.  The drive will be approximately 4-5 hours from Iloilo.  If you wish to book your Boracay vacation, you can call (083) 5528015 and let Go Sarangani Travel help you!

6. Bohol - If you are going to be in Cebu.  After exploring the city and its resorts in Mactan, it would add a new adventure seeing the chocolate hills and tarsiers in Bohol.  Go Sarangani Travel is the GSA (General Sales Agent) of Ocean Jet and you can book with us your Bohol hotels, tours, and ocean jet transfer from Cebu to Bohol and v.v.  You can email your booking request thru gosaranganitravel1@gmail.com

7. Palawan - Puerto Princesa is accessible via Manila or Cebu and is one favorite destination for summer.  Since the Underground River has won as one of the new 7 wonders of the world, it has increased the visitors to Palawan.  Although the daily number of guests to the Underground River is limited to 700/day, it is important to book your tours ahead! For the Local Government is strict to implement the sustainability of this wonder.  So for more of Palawan packages, you can request this thru Go Sarangani Travel.

8. Hongkong - Hong Kong is accessible via Cebu or Manila.  Besides visiting this cosmopolitan city, you should take time to visit Disneyland or Ocean Park.  Hong Kong is quite the gateway for other countries - China and Macau.  Visit Shenzhen when booking for a package, though for a minimum of a group of 3, the China group visa can be arranged.  For those visiting Macau, it is more fun to do it on a tour so you get to see all the spots such as St. Paul's Ruins, Taipa, and many more.  If you want to book your HK trip, visit Go Sarangani Travel office at 66 J. Catolico Sr. St. across Robinsons mall.

9. Singapore - Singapore is accesible from Davao, Cebu, Clark and Manila. There was a link thru Tiger Air for Davao direct to Singapore. This however will be until April 22 only.  You can access Singapore via Davao through Silk Air too.  Nonetheless, there are many airline options.  The most important thing is to get a good deal for hotel & tour packages.  Singapore's Sentosa and Marina Bay Sands are a must visit.  If you are also opting to take a cruise, your port of entry will be Singapore for Star Cruises.  For your Singapore adventure, contact Go Sarangani Travel.

10. Bangkok - Bangkok is one enchanting city.  It is a shopping haven, a food adventure, and cultural excursion. Visiting Bangkok will be easiest from Manila.   There is an array of hotels and tour packages that can be arranged. If you are good with maps, you can take the sky train where each stop is a mall.  Make sure to wear flats to have a comfortable shopping experience.  Contact Go Sarangani Travel to assist you with your visit to Bangkok.

Its time to take a break, spend time with family and friends.  Explore some place you have never been to before. Let Go Sarangani Travel help you plan out your summer!

Who said there is no wind around Sarangani Bay? On the contrary there is enough wind! The big plus is the awesome limestone mountain terrain in Sarangani.  SAFI Ranch in Maasim is located right after Siguel river.  It a property made of mountains of hard rock and limestone.  The awesome part of the place it has cliffs for paragliding and big flat land perfect for landing...

I got invited to see the sport. Initially I was seeing Ian Tan and their gang taking lessons with Buko Raymundo (President, Paragliding Association of the Philippines) and Jason Luengo.  It looked tough for those training to be pilots. As they lifted their chutes, and begin working with the wind, you sense the adrenelin rush!

The group was kind enough to show me what its like.  So we headed up the mountain and got ready to jump off the cliff.  The moment we got the winds right,  on a tandem, we ran  and jumped off the mountain to the vast expanse of air.

That jump was so good, because the wind lifted us high above the ranges of Maasim and viewing the entire Sarangani Bay from the sky.  It was a high- adrenalin, amazing experience!  We flew for about 15 minutes that day.

If you are interested to paraglide, the introductory rate is P2,500 for tandem ride.  Its definitely worth the try.
