S'LANG FESTIVAL CELEBRATED IN MALUNGON |

Finally, S'lang Festival was celebrated in Malungon with lots of activities in 2 weeks from July 1-15, 2009. 
S'lang is a Blaan word for "getting together". It is a term used to describe the activity where people come together to trade, to meet for leisure activities, and other purposes. Malungon celebrates this festival by doing activities that definitely bring s'lang of people. They had cultural activities such as the Fyu Kura (decorated horses in its own form of horse pageant), Art Contest and traditional arts competition (using beadwork on fabric), street dancing. They also did sports activities such as Basketball competition, Target Shooting competition & Darts Competition. This year also was graced by the delegates of the Vegetable Congress having a Vegetable Derby at the Pacman Farm.
